WASHINGTON - Today, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) issued the following statement on the abysmal November jobs report and the overall failing American economy.

“Today’s jobs report that missed Wall Street’s expectations by more than 360,000 jobs is another glaring example of the failed policies coming from President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Democrats that control the House and Senate. While Democrats continue to look for the root causes of the disastrous economy and continue to blame the ongoing COVID pandemic, all roads lead back to the economic illiteracy of Democrats in power.

“American families just faced the most expensive Thanksgiving on record, and now, three weeks away from Christmas, the American people continue to struggle due to Biden’s ineptitude. Gas prices are up nearly 60%, fuel for heating homes has more than doubled, and shelves are running bare due to the ongoing supply chain crisis.

“While families in Florida’s 19th Congressional District and across the nation face unimaginable economic difficulties, Democrats are shrugging off these mounting issues and proceeding with their radical agenda. Amid rising gas prices, the Secretary of Energy laughed, and Secretary Buttigieg told Americans to buy an electric vehicle to avoid the rise in prices. Coupled with their offensive and flat-out tone-deaf messaging, Democrats on Capitol Hill continue jamming through Biden’s multi-trill-dollar socialist tax and spending plan.

“The state of the American economy is in peril at the hands of the Democrats, who have one goal in mind to systematically transform America and hand over our exceptionalism to the rest of the world. We cannot afford to allow them to succeed in this mission.”
