Rep. Donalds Announces Alexandria Smith as Legislative Director

WASHINGTON - Today, Rep. Byron Donalds announced that Alexandria "Alex" Smith will serve as his Legislative Director, effective immediately. Chris Ploch will be Legislative Correspondent.  


"I'm thrilled to have promoted Alex as my new Legislative Director. She has embodied the highest level of knowledge, professionalism, and passion for the legislative priorities of my office and has my complete confidence in this new role," said Rep. Byron Donalds


"While serving as my Legislative Assistant, Alex established a strong foundation in my first nine months in Congress as an instrumental leader in helping me introduce six bills, cosponsor 87 pieces of legislation, and lead numerous letters to the administration and committee leadership. Alex previously worked as my Legislative Assistant and Deputy Legislative Assistant for Senator Tim Scott before that. She is a native of South Carolina and currently lives in Washington. Chris Ploch is a recent graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law and will soon swear in as a member of the Florida Bar following passage of the Bar Exam."
