WASHINGTON — Today, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) issued the following statement regarding the resignation of embattled New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo.

"Let’s be real, Andrew Cuomo’s resignation does not show regret for his actions; it shows remorse that he got caught. He went from believe all women to berate all women overnight, and the people of New York have had enough,” said Rep. Donalds. “While I applaud his resignation, his sexual impropriety is only the straw that broke the camel’s back. Cuomo’s legacy will be defined by his corruption and incompetence that led to thousands of deaths in New York nursing homes. For over a year, his actions drew immediate condemnation from many of my Republican colleagues, and I am pleased to see Democrats and the media finally reach this conclusion as well.”
