July 23, 2026
WASHINGTON – Yesterday, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) voted to pass a legislative package combining the Stop Insider Trading Act and the Voter ID Act, which bars members of Congress from purchasing new individual stocks and seeks to secure our federal elections with common-sense, nationwide Voter ID. "We are putting an end to self-enrichment in the halls of Congress. If you are elected to serve the people, your focus should be on your constituents, not your personal stock portfolio," said Congressman Byron Donalds. "I am proud to stand with my Republican colleagues in the House to ban congressional insider trading and secure our federal elections with common-sense, nationwide Voter ID."
