ICYMI: Donalds Joins Varney & Co.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined Varney & Co. on Fox Business Network to discuss the economic success under President Trump, and his praise for Florida's new mandate of administering driver's license exams only in English.

"President Trump is correct. Prices have come down at the grocery store. Prices have come down [and] they've stabilized":
"President Trump is correct. Prices have come down at the grocery store. Prices have come down [and] they've stabilized. That's a very big thing, and I know people are still feeling the sticker shock from the Biden years, but the truth is, we've stabilized costs in a lot of areas. Prices have come down. Look at gasoline. Gasoline prices are down. Electricity prices are down. The thirty-year home mortgage is down to about six and a quarter from 7% at the beginning of last year. So, there's a lot of positive effects in our economy, not just in the stock market; stock market looks great, but not just there. It's about Main Street and the kitchen table items that the American people are having to engage with every single day. So, when you see gas prices come down, food prices stabilize, [and] other costs coming down in our country, that actually bodes well for the future of our economy. Another economic fact in Donald Trump's economy, again, wages adjusted for inflation are up. That's the exact opposite of what was happening during the Biden years. Wages are up, adjusted for inflation. We have a great story to tell, but there's more to be done, and so, we're very excited about it."

"If you're going to be driving on Florida's roads, you have to understand English well enough to follow, not just our laws, but to follow the road signs":

"Look, what happened last year on our roads, where you had somebody who couldn't read our signs lead to the death of three people on the roads of Florida is, frankly, chilling. And so, to know that we have these various driving tests to get a license, but you don't have to read English when all our road signs are in English, I think that creates a major problem. So, yes, if you're going to be driving on Florida's roads, you have to understand English well enough to follow, not just our laws, but to follow the road signs. I think that's common sense. It actually helps to make our roadways more safe, and at the end of the day, that's government’s primary job, [and] it is to make sure that safety and law and order are consistent."
