ICYMI: Donalds Joins My View With Lara Trump

WASHINGTON – Last night, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined My View with Lara Trump on Fox News Channel to discuss support for recent ICE enforcement actions in Minnesota and the importance of continued deportation operations across the nation.

Watch the full interview here.

"The US Constitution is very clear on this, naturalization and border enforcement is the purview of the federal government. That's what the states all signed up for when they created the...Constitution and created the federal government":

"Amy should have turned around and talked to the Mayor of Minneapolis because it's his rhetoric, the rhetoric of Tim Walz, and so many other Minnesota officials that have inflamed the situation because I would say look at the contrast. Here in Florida, we're participating with ICE. We're working with them through the 287(g) program. Governor DeSantis has made sure every law enforcement official in our state is going to cooperate in with the federal government and you're not seeing this in Minnesota. You're seeing this because you have stupid Democrats in the State of Minnesota who are trying to remain popular in their party, are not doing the right thing, they're not showing leadership and actually abiding by the United State Constitution. Lara, the US Constitution is very clear on this, naturalization and border enforcement is the purview of the federal government. That's what the states all signed up for when they created the United States Constitution and created the federal government. So no, a Governor, and a Mayor, and now a US Senator, they don't have the legal authority to dictate to ICE what they are going to do and not do when it goes to enforcing immigration law–something that Joe Biden and the Democrats refused to do, which led to Donald Trump winning political mandate in 2024 to deport criminal illegal aliens."

To the brave men and women of ICE: "We stand behind you. We want you to continue to do your job on behalf of the United States of America and all of the American people."

"First of all, I want to thank you for you service to the country. Number two, I'm sorry that you're having to deal with all these protests which are being thrown at you by the radical left Democrats. We stand behind you. We want you to continue to do your job on behalf of the United States of America and all of the American people. And a quick message to some of these people who want to protest: You should look at some of your Democrat leaders because they don't have your best interests at heart. They would let you go out there and be a political pawn for their political futures as opposed to doing what is right and correct on behalf of the United States of America."
