WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined Varney & Co. on Fox Business Network to discuss the need for the Senate to pass the SAVE Act and the House Oversight and Government Reform's upcoming hearing on the rampant fraud in Minnesota.
"It's common sense to make sure that Americans and only Americans are voting in our elections. This is simple stuff":
"What's stopping it is Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats. The House has already passed this. We've actually passed it this Congress and last Congress, and it's sitting in the Senate waiting for a vote because Senate Democrats won't vote to end debate. This is one of the reasons why I think the Senate filibuster it's time for that to come to an end because what we clearly see now it is not a tool for compromise. And so I think that right [at] this point the SAVE Act should become law. It's common sense to make sure that Americans and only Americans are voting in our elections. This is simple stuff."
"My opinion is Minnesota is the tip of the iceberg. It's not just Minnesota. We have other states that have allowed for this kind of fraud to continue":
"I'll tell you, House Oversight, we are taking this investigation incredibly seriously. Obviously, the footage is out there. The Department of Homeland Security is now on the ground, going door to door, doing their investigative work to uncover the depths of this fraud in Minnesota. But this is terrible, and my opinion is Minnesota is the tip of the iceberg. It's not just Minnesota. We have other states that have allowed for this kind of fraud to continue. It's unconscionable. We've got to put a stop to it. I'm not going to telegraph what I'll ask Governor Walz. He'll have to show up in Congress to find out."
