ICYMI: Donalds Joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla

WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla on Fox News Radio to discuss healthcare and regulatory reforms.

Watch the full interview here.

"We need to continue to push down energy costs, and that's what the President is going to be focused on":

"I think it is very important. Homeownership is. One is access points. Two is the stupid federal regulation that makes it more expensive. Like, listen, I want to weatherize my home too, but it makes it more expensive. So, this is the stuff where you need to start providing options to a lot of these rules. If people want to buy a home that’s weatherized or whatever the case might be, give them the option. Let them do that. But if people are just trying to get their first home, get in there, you know, and figure that whole thing out. That's a whole nother thing altogether. The other big piece of that, it's not just housing, it's energy... We need to continue to push down energy costs, and that's what the President is going to be focused on. It's the right thing to do."

"You can't keep the same Obama regulations and think things are going to get better":

"Come on, Jimmy, you know Obama is not going to sit for an interview on this. I wish he would. He should explain why people couldn't even keep their doctor because that's what he said. But the truth is, they wrote a bill with the insurance companies that favored the insurance companies. And so what President Trump is saying, what House Republicans what we're saying is, 'Look, give the premium subsidies to people. Let them go buy their healthcare in the marketplace.' And also, I think what we need to do is redesign the marketplace. You can't keep the same Obama regulations and think things are going to get better. That's just not true. That's not how this works. You need to change the regulations. Whatever subsidies do exist, put that in the hands of people. Let them go make those purchase decisions for themselves, and a funny thing will happen, Jimmy. You might actually see prices stabilize or even come down. It's how markets work."
