WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined Daybreak on 92.5 FM WFSX Fox News Radio–Estero as he discussed the "10,000 for the Troops" campaign to honor our veterans and the Trump administration's commitment to keeping our Southern Hemisphere safe.

"People who have served our nation, they always deserve the ultimate respect":
"You're the first line of defense. Our nation doesn't exist without men and women who put on the uniform, who sacrifice, who spend months, if not years, sometimes away from their families, all to make sure that the fabric of our nation, our declaration, our constitution, have the protection they need so a nation like ours can thrive. You've done everything. And so, you know, people who have served our nation, they always deserve the ultimate respect."
"If you're sending drug boats to our nation, we have a responsibility to blow them out of the water":
"Well, I don't want to get in front of the president, but let's be clear. If you're sending drug boats to our nation, we have a responsibility to blow them out of the water. Period. Full stop. We're acting as if these narcotics don't cause real harm to our citizens, to our families, cause death. And so I think that the Democrats just find themselves in this doom loop of just hating everything that Trump is doing, when the truth is, eliminating those drug vessels is actually protecting the United States. Secondarily, if you want to go to Maduro, look, this is a state that's opened up our hemisphere to Russia and China. Why would the United States allow that in our hemisphere? You know, we used to follow as a nation the Monroe Doctrine, and we've gotten away from it in part because of stupid politics in Washington, D.C. I think it's a good thing that America asserts its authority in our hemisphere. We should do that. So, I don't want to go further than that because there's decisions that are being made in real time by the president and Secretary Rubio, and they need to have the room to do that. That's why he's the commander-in-chief. That's why Marco Rubio is Secretary of State, confirmed by the United States Senate, appointed by President Trump. But if you're going to ask me about concerns about blowing up drug ships in international waters, good. That's my response."
