WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined The National Report on Newsmax to discuss a recent video posted by Democratic members of Congress openly calling for military defiance and insurrection, as well as a House resolution condemning Socialism.

"They are trying to foment an insurrection. They are trying to foment sedition":
"There's nothing funny here. To be honest, I am sick of these Democrats. Look, here's the problem. They are trying to foment an insurrection. They are trying to foment sedition. They put out a video, they don't have any specifics, and they only do it to get a rise, quite frankly, out of media and a response from President Trump. So, here's my response: You are weak, you are tired, you have no agenda, you have no ideas, so you have to do these stunts. Trying to tell military men and women that they don't have to follow orders is insanity, and they should be ashamed of themselves. Look, I respect their service to the nation, but now they're using politics to undermine America. This is not right, none of this is. They would never tolerate any Republican saying that to a Democratic president. They would be just as outraged as I am now. But this is about politics first, second, and third. This is about them trying to position themselves for the midterm elections. This is not what's in the best interest of our troops. This is not what's in the best interest of our nation. This is undermining the commander-in-chief. This is insurrection if you ask me, and it shouldn't be tolerated. And by the way, for all the press who now want to scrutinize Donald Trump's response. They are insane, and they're part of the game as well. The sick game of media trying to shift coverage away from Democrats who are causing the issues in the first place. That video they put out is terrible, and it should not be tolerated."
"Everywhere Socialism has gone, it has failed":
"The vote is happening today. This was already scheduled before Mr. Mamdani said he wanted to come to the White House and meet with President Trump. Look, let's be very clear. Zohran Mamdani is a democratic socialist. He believes in socialist, Marxist policy that has failed everywhere it has tried. It is failing on the world stage today. Go look at Venezuela. Democratic socialism took a country that was rich and thriving to one that has become an economic disaster where tyranny reigns under the Maduro regime. So what Zohran Mamdani believes in has failed in other countries. And the sad thing is, if he completely gets his way in New York City, it will fail for New York. I mean, it's not like he's going to convince the president to change his views. That is not going to happen. But I think it's indicative that yeah, I'm kinda happy he came on a day when the House is going to denounce socialism. Because every American needs to understand the truth. Forget about all the buzzwords and the smiles and the videos talking about free buses and free this and free that. Everywhere socialism has gone, it has failed the people at the very bottom. It actually does not allow for upward mobility economically, and what it does provide is that you have an upper crust of elected officials or powerbrokers who make all the money, they have all the wealth, they have all the prestige, while everybody else is trying to make ends meet. It doesn't work, it's never worked."
