ICYMI: Donalds Joins Varney & Co.

WASHINGTON – This morning, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined Varney & Co. on Fox Business Network to discuss the Trump administration's commitment to addressing affordability and the Democrats' introduction of a bill targeting the private White House ballroom donations.

"I know the president is focused on affordability; we are on Capitol Hill":

"I'm not too concerned about that right now. I know the president is focused on affordability; we are on Capitol Hill. There's a lot of damage we had to unwind from the Biden administration, where we had double digit inflation for multiple years, it's created many problems. Our agenda, the president's agenda, which we passed in July that's going to start eking into our economy as well. People are going to be able to keep more of their money, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime. That's stuff that we passed to get the president's agenda done. Some of the investment dollars, about 100 percent expensing, that's going to have businesses with more dollars in their pocket to deploy into our economy. I know people are very concerned about affordability; we are concerned about it as well. There are multiple things that the president is working on right now that's going to continue to push costs down. And so I think, even though you're seeing that number today, that number is not going to hold by the time we reach the midterms."

"The reason why that's even having to be considered is because of Democrat obstruction, because they are obsessed with Donald Trump as opposed to doing their job on behalf of the people of the United States of America":

"This is just stupid. I mean, look, the Democrats have lost their minds, they've lost the plot. Instead of being focused on affordability, instead of being focused on young people in America being able to buy homes, making it cheaper for homes to be constructed, making it cheaper to acquire the raw materials to build these homes, they're focused on stupidity like this. Stu, this is why I've been saying for a while it's time for the Senate filibuster to end. These people are not serious; they're focused on politics. The issue that was played earlier about air traffic controllers where they are to be paid during shutdowns. The reason why that's even having to be considered is because of Democrat obstruction, because they are obsessed with Donald Trump as opposed to doing their job on behalf of the people of the United States of America. That's where all this stuff comes from; it's ridiculous."
