WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined Carl Higbie Frontline on Newsmax to discuss the cash-for-votes scheme in Wilmington, North Carolina.
"But look, again, folks, the Democrats don't care about the actual policy. What they do is they tug on your emotions, and then they promise things they cannot deliver time and time again":
"Look, all I'm going to say is, where is the attorney general in North Carolina? They need to hop into high gear and investigate that. You can't pay people for votes. You just can't do it. And so, yeah, and if these were federal elections, I think these are municipal elections, so the state attorney general needs to get off their butt and make sure that people are held accountable. That's what needs to happen. But look, again, folks, the Democrats don't care about the actual policy. What they do is they tug on your emotions, and then they promise things they cannot deliver time and time again. And then when they're in power, they blame everybody else for their failures. This is why what's happening over there in North Carolina, where they're having to pay people, that's because they're trying to play on people's fears, man, and it's wrong. The attorney general in North Carolina, you've got a job to do. Go prosecute."
