ICYMI: Donalds Joins Daybreak On 92.5 FM WFSX

WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined Daybreak on 92.5 FM WFSX Fox News Radio–Estero to discuss Senator Chuck Schumer's government shutdown, his inclusion on the 2025 TIME100 Next list, and news of the day.

Listen the full interview here.

"So now he [Chuck Schumer] feels he's in a corner where he has to look like he’s being a tough guy":

"Yeah, I think there will probably be a deal sometime towards the end of next week. Look, here's where we are, Chuck Schumer was brutally hammered by the radical left when he worked with President Trump, and House and Senate Republicans to keep the government open back in March. So he took his pounding, took his beating from the left - politically speaking. Politically speaking, we want to be clear on these things. So now he feels he's in a corner where he has to look like he’s being a tough guy. It's unfortunate because their demands are healthcare for illegal aliens, massive amounts of spending, restoring NPR funding, restoring woke, crazy spending for USAID. Like that's what they're asking for. We're not going to do that, we're just not and so that's it."

"It's really, I think, a credit to my mom [and] all the hard work that she did for me":

"It was surreal, it was really cool. Like my mom, as a kid, my mom she subscribed to TIME Magazine so it would be in the house like every week it would come. You know, sometimes you would read it, sometimes you wouldn't. So I actually texted my mom and just said, 'hey, this is really cool, like this one's for you more so than for me,' because she was an avid TIME's subscriber for a long, long time. It's really, I think, a credit to my mom [and] all the hard work that she did for me."
