ICYMI: Donalds Joins The VINCE Show

WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined The VINCE Show on Westwood One to discuss the continued violent rhetoric coming from the radical left, and the failure to censure Illhan Omar for her vile comments in the aftermath of the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Watch the full interview here.

"This is nuts, it's got to stop, and this falls on the feet of the Democrats":

"Number one, she's [Jasmine Crockett] crazy. Two, the Democrats are crazy because they lost the argument on immigration, now they're trying to intimidate everybody from enforcing federal immigration law. By the way, this is still the law of the land to deport illegal aliens out of the United States. And because they can't convince the American people about immigration, they resort to this rhetoric, this vitriol, which puts people at risk. And, look, we already have seen what's happened to Charlie Kirk, him being assassinated. But they don't care, they're going to continue. So what Republicans and conservatives have to do - number one, we have to stand firm on what we told the American people we were going to do. Number two, we have to continue to hold these Democrats accountable. If you want to now use language that puts people in harms way then you're the problem - that's Rashida Tlaib, that's Jasmine Crockett, that's AOC, and all the rest of them. They are the problem. You got these members who are trying to talk tough, thinking that they are tough people, but they're not. They're cowards because they actually do not want to address the real issues facing the American people. They would rather just throw out these crazy labels against people and then you have people who have mental health issues in our country who think that they're saving America by listening to the Democrats and trying to commit murder. This is nuts, it's got to stop, and this falls on the feet of the Democrats."

"The only way for them to be held accountable is the voters have to reject this":

"What's really going to be difficult now is Democrats have to decide. Do they just want to spew lies. and spread violent rhetoric or do they want to be responsible leaders? And I don't have control over Democrats, I can't make them make these changes... The only way for them to be held accountable is the voters have to reject this. And I'm not just talking about Republicans, there are Democrat voters in this country who find this kind of rhetoric to be vile, they don't like it, and so they have a responsibility to hold their party accountable as well."

"We just tried to hold Ilhan Omar accountable and censure her and we had members who didn't want to do that":

"We just tried to hold Ilhan Omar accountable and censure her and we had members who didn't want to do that. And so there's internal dynamics on why all that stuff is happening. Chip Roy, my friend out of Texas, he's called for the same investigation into not just ANTIFA but into the money flow behind a lot of the Democrats astroturf agenda where they will basically create an issue and then launch people who are paid to go into these areas, to protest, to hurl insults, etc, and they want to investigate it, and we should investigate all that. And I think that's a responsibility that Congress can step into going forward."
