ICYMI: Donalds Joins The Ingraham Angle

WASHINGTON – Tonight, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined The Ingraham Angle on Fox News Channel to discuss the horrific assassination of American political icon, Charlie Kirk.

Watch the full interview here.

"Charlie is somebody who embodied the First Amendment, stood for what he believed in, and did it in a way where he really was never disrespectful to anyone, but he was firm in his beliefs":

"Devastated, devastated for America. Devastated for Erika and for his kids. His kids are young. I have sons, and I’m devastated for them. This is a tragedy for the country. I think that the Utah governor during the press conference a little bit earlier said we’re celebrating 250 years of America. What kind of country are we going to be? And Charlie is somebody who embodied the First Amendment, stood for what he believed in and did it in a way where he really was never disrespectful to anyone but he was firm in his beliefs. And like you just said earlier, we have to find courage in that. This is a real tragedy for America."

"Fighting for this constitution, fighting for the future of America, that is the legacy of Charlie Kirk":

"There's a lot of us who have to decide: number one, we have to continue Charlie's legacy. We cannot step backwards at this point. You gotta be firm in what you believe in and you have to stand with everything that you have. But number two, we have to respect each other’s humanity. That’s what needs to happen in the country. You disagree with somebody, fine, I get it. But people want to go home to their families, Laura. I want to go home to mine, everybody wants to go home to theirs. And unfortunately, Charlie is not gonna have an opportunity to go home to his wife and his kids who he so dearly loved... But, Laura, we can’t retreat from the crazy left. We simply can’t. If you do, you're gonna turn this country over to them. That’s not a provocative statement, that’s a statement of fact. We have a responsibility in this moment to stand for the very principles that founded this nation which is, yes, speaking your mind very clearly, petitioning your government, organizing, doing all those things. Fighting for this constitution, fighting for the future of America, that is the legacy of Charlie Kirk."
