WASHINGTON-- Today, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) issued the following statement of support for Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) to replace Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) as House Republican Conference Chair. 

"As a fierce support of broadening the party's tent and championing new and dynamic conservative voices for the future, it is more important than ever that we have a House Republican Conference Chair that is both conservative and competent. Therefore, as our party evaluates who will chair the Conference, I am choosing the direction of new leadership that embodies the future of the party, not the past; I am choosing to support Rep. Elise Stefanik as the next Chair of the House Republican Conference."
