WASHINGTON – Last night, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined On Balance with Leland Vittert on NewsNation to discuss affordability in the United States and the recent positive GDP report showing the American economy on the right track.

"The economy is moving strong":

"I would say everybody’s concerned about affordability, there’s no doubt about that. The only way that you get that, get, get that under control is, you start growing your economy again, which, obviously by the GDP reprieve that came out today, the economy is growing. The other piece is making sure that wages adjusted for inflation are actually up. This means getting inflation under control. President Trump and his economic policies are doing that as well, and so you know, I think, that’s really, at the end of the day, what’s going to matter. No the hot takes from Democrats, not, not cursing at the podium or any of the other stuff that they’re doing because they have no policy that matters in the lives of people... We believe that the American people are gonna reward us with the majority in both the House and Senate and also around the country - whether it’s governor’s, mansions, mansions or even of the balance of power in state legislatures. Let me give you a few reasons why. Number one, the economy is moving strong. Number two, unemployment rate is still very low. Number three, inflation getting in check. Number four, Donald Trump prioritizes law and order, safety and security. Number five, he [President Trump] accomplished a primary goal given to him by the American people of securing the nation’s borders and getting illegal immigration under control."
