FORT MYERS, Fla. – As Hurricane Season 2025 bears down on the Sunshine State, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) met with Lee County officials in Fort Myers for a site-visit of recent upgrades to Lee County’s Emergency Operations Center.
The upgraded facility has been designed to meet the growing population of Lee County, and brings together key critical services under one roof - Emergency Communications, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, the Department of Transportation, and the Lee County Sheriff's Office. Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) released the following statement:
"Lee County stands ready and prepared for when the next storm hits our Southwest Florida community. As we progress through Hurricane Season 2025, I met with local officials at the Lee County Emergency Operations Center and toured recent expansions to their state-of-the-art facility."
