DEVELOPING: Donalds Releases Statement On Shooting At Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia

WASHINGTON – This morning, an armed suspect opened fire at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia. 

According to reports, five soldiers were shot, treated on-site, and moved to a local hospital for further treatment. All five wounded soldiers are now in stable condition. The shooter was subdued by soldiers in the area and apprehended by authorities at 11:35 a.m. EDT. Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) released the following statement:

"This morning, five soldiers were shot at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield. Thankfully all five wounded soldiers are in stable condition and are expected to recover due to the swift action of first responders and law enforcement. Erika and I pray for their continued recovery."
