WASHINGTON - Yesterday, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) introduced the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th bills of the 2023-24 Donalds Nuclear Energy Package. These bills include H.R. 3483 – The Strategic Nuclear Infrastructure Act, H.R. 3484 – The Advanced Reactor Coordination (ARC) Act, H.R. 3485 – The Avoid Our Adversaries & Buy American Nuclear Act, H.R. 3486 – The Recoup American Nuclear Global Leadership Act, and H.R. 3487 – The Advanced Nuclear Support Act. Congressman Donalds released the following statement:
"Nuclear is a much-underutilized asset in the arsenal of American energy. If we are to take the clean energy future of the United States seriously, we must consider a whole-of-government approach to implementing nuclear energy into our grid. My now fifteen-bill and growing, nuclear energy legislative package promotes the cleanest and greenest source of energy at our country's disposal.
My five most recent bills seek to support critical nuclear energy infrastructure projects and institute a focal point within our government for advanced reactor deployment. They also include provisions to assist in the global deployment of civil nuclear technologies, facilitate global civil nuclear trade strategies, and expand assistance for nuclear supply chain infrastructure. Real problems deserve real solutions. Rather than relying on the false fantasies of Democratic politicians who promote inefficient and environmentally detrimental alternative energy sources like wind and solar, it is imperative that nuclear energy is brought to the forefront of our national conversation."
