Donalds: "We Will Stand Ready For When The Next Storm Arrives In Southwest Florida"

WASHINGTON – Lasting from June 1st through November 30th, today marks the beginning of Hurricane Season 2023. Congressman Donalds (R-FL) released the following statement:

"As we continue to rebuild from the historic devastation of last Hurricane Season, we must be ready for the potential storms we may encounter over the next six months. Vigilance is important but preparation is paramount. As a result, my office has created a Hurricane Preparedness Guide for Southwest Floridians in the event of an emergency as we embark upon these next six months of meteorological uncertainty.

"In our guide we provide critical information regarding national, state, and local emergency resources for residents of Collier and Lee Counties. These resources include agency and medical hotlines as well as links to trackers that cover the latest school closures, open shelters, available fuel, missing person reports and volunteer opportunities throughout our community. Although having this information on hand is essential, please do not forget to also stock-up on supplies now. The resilience of our community is unparalleled and together we will stand ready for when the next storm arrives in Southwest Florida."
