Mobile Emergency Ops Center Project

Recipient: Figgers Foundation

Location: Lee County, FL

Amount of Request: $1 Million

Details: This solution would provide critical support during natural disasters and emergencies. Equipped with a operational command center capable of deploying 5G data connectivity. This would facilitate efficient communication, data access, and coordination among emergency responders and stakeholders in disaster-stricken areas. Rutherford and Calvert also received these requests

Emergency Management Mobile Response Unit Project  

Recipient: Lee County 

Location: Lee County, FL

Amount of Request: $2 Million

Details: The current mobile response unit is from 2006. Lee County would like to replace the outdated one with two new units to support large community events and disasters.

Lafayette Square

Recipient: Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers

Location: Fort Myers, FL

This would develop an 80-unit senior affordable housing community to serve seniors on fixed incomes and will replace Royal Palm Towers.

Rosemary Drive Stormwater Drainage and Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project

Recipient: City of Bonita Springs

Location:  Bonita Springs, FL 

This would include a hydrologic/hydraulic analysis to develop a stormwater drainage system which will include curb and gutter, intersection improvements and multi-use pathway

Amount of Request: $1.4 Million

Fort Myers Beach Water Reclamation Facility Restoration and Capacity Enhancement Act

Recipient: Lee County

Location:  Fort Myers, FL 

This project would rehabilitate and enhance the FMB water reclamation facility, due to the loss of treatment capacity, aging infrastructure, and Hurricane Ian damage. Project design will include hazard mitigation and flood proofing elements.

Amount of Request: $15 Million

North Lee County Raw Water Transmission Pipeline

Recipient: Lee County

Location: North Fort Myers, FL

This would construct a new transmission pipeline and the above ground well facilities to connect five production wells in North Fort Myers to the North Lee County RO Water Treatment Plant.

City of Cape Coral Cape Coral Northeast Reservoir Water Transmission and Regional Water Supply 

Recipient: City of Cape Coral

Location:Punta Gorda, FL 

This project aims to channel up to 1.44 billion gallons of water annually from a reservoir in Charlotte County to Cape Coral’s freshwater canal system, benefiting the community in various ways such as fire suppression and lawn irrigation.

Amount of Request: $5 Million

Recipient: City of Fort Myers

Location: Fort Myers, FL 

This project supports the City’s goal to eliminate effluent from surface water discharge into the Caloosahatchee River by 2027 while expanding the capacity of the utility system.

Sequencing the SWFL Shelf

Recipient: Florida Gulf Coast University

Location:Fort Myers, FL

This project will utilize sequencing to identify plankton, algae, and other species to identify which ones are the most harmful for more efficient investments in water quality.

Leitner Soccer Complex

Recipient: City of Bonita Springs

Location: Bonita Springs, FL

Funding for the Leitner Creek Neighborhood Soccer Complex will enable the city to construct a new soccer complex that will incorporate 1 adult and 3 youth soccer fields with irrigation and LED lighting. To support the complex the city will also install a new parking lot, a concession building, restroom facilities, maintenance storage facility, sewer and electric utility connections and landscaping enhancements. The benefit of the new facility is that it is in a walkable location for low to moderate income neighborhoods, allows for safe use by adults/youth leagues after dark and provides a family-oriented facility.

Town of FMB Stormwater and Utilities Improvements

Recipient: Town of Fort Myers Beach

Location: Fort Myers Beach, FL

Repair and maintenance Island losses and harden the existing system.

Amount of Request: $8 Milllion

Laced and Lethal Campaign

Recipient: Collier County Sheriff's Office

Location: Naples, FL

This would provide the CCSO the ability to form a campaign regarding Fentanyl and allow for more training and resources (schools, community, enforcement, and training).

City of Fort Myers STARS Expansion Project

Recipient: City of Fort Myers 

Location: Fort Myers, FL

This would renovate and expand the Success Through Academic and Recreational Support (STARS) Program facility complex. The building is being designed with community-oriented features and a portion of it will serve as a hurricane shelter to increase critical shelter capacity.

City of Fort Myers Water Treatment Plan Expansion Phase 2

Recipient: City of Fort Myers

Location: Fort Myers, FL

This would support the continued expansion of the water treatment plant in order to keep pace with the larger than expected population growth. The continued increase in population has necessitated an expansion of processing capacity of 15 million gallons per day.

Amount of Request: $3 Million

Goodwin Street Stormwater Drainage and Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project

Recipient: City of Bonita Springs

Location: Bonita Springs, FL

This would include a include the acquisition of additional right-of-way in order to realign and reconstruct the Goodwin Street corridor. The project includes a closed stormwater drainage system that will provide land for multi-use pathway and new buffered sidewalks with pavement, signage improvements, streetlights landscaping and irrigation.

Amount of Request: $2.6 Million
