I applaud local, state, and federal leaders that have continued to work tirelessly in order to provide the most up-to-date information and necessary resources for Floridians to combat COVID-19. Empowering Floridians, and all Americans, to make the best decisions for themselves and their families is crucial to staying healthy while not infringing on our Constitutional rights.

Throughout the entirety of the COVID-19 pandemic, my stance has been clear: If you want to get vaccinated, get vaccinated. If you feel safer without the COVID-19 vaccine, you shouldn't be required to.

As a Member of Congress, I firmly believe the role of government should be to make all resources widely accessible. No government entity should enforce and implement overreaching mandates in regards to masking and vaccines.

I will never support mandates that encourage government expansion and overreach into the private lives of American citizens and their individual health decisions.
