Congressional App Challenge

The Congressional Art Competition (CAC) is a nationwide event to engage students’ creativity and encourage Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) participation. This event invites students from grades 8-12 to compete with their peers by creating and exhibiting an original software application (also known as an “app”). Students may compete as individuals or in teams of up to four as long as at least two teammates reside or attend school in Florida’s 19th Congressional District.

Middle and high school students can visit the Congressional App Challenge website for more information and view past winners.

The apps will be evaluated by a panel of local judges who work within the academic, software, and entrepreneurial fields. The winning app from each congressional district that hosted a Challenge will be featured on the U.S. House of Representatives website (www.house.gov) and displayed in a U.S. Capitol exhibit.
