Congress stood in recess last week, which afforded me ample time to meet with constituents, travel throughout Southwest Florida, and meet the great people of Florida's 19th Congressional District.
The Democrats and their friends in Hollywood and the media must have received the memo that the American people have had it with their radical covid policies. Whether it's Stacy Abrams maskless in a classroom full of masked children or numerous celebrities and elected officials flaunting their "prestige" while maskless at the Super Bowl, the people are over the top-down mandates. It seems states are finally following the Governor DeSantis model, loosening restrictions and ending the senseless and detrimental school mask edicts. There's a reason why Florida shattered its tourism numbers this year—vacationing to freedom was the motto of the pandemic.
Of all the failures of this administration and president, the foreign policy woes are among the worst. Since Biden took office, our enemies have made the world their playground. As we've seen, Russia is on the move, and an attack on Ukraine is imminent. China is flexing its muscles and inches closer and closer to Twain, and North Korea and Iran are back in the driver's seat when it comes to building a nuclear weapon. The stark contrast between the foreign policy of the Trump administration and that of this administration couldn't be more evident. Under Biden, America is leading from behind and continues to operate in a position of weakness. If we continue down this path, the world will become a much less safe place.
Lastly, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Presidents Day! Throughout the history of this nation, we've seen true patriots put country over themselves and preserve American exceptionalism, freedom, and liberty.
