WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) issued the following statement slamming the Biden-Harris administration's idea to supply gas cards to the American people amid the Biden Green New Deal energy crisis.
"Since day one, President Biden has sought to undo Trump's America First energy policies that kept gas prices low, made the United States energy independent, and lessened our dependence on foreign energy. Because of Biden's radical anti-American energy policies, gas prices are through the roof, resulting in record prices at the pump. Instead of undoing all the burdens on our energy sector, Biden relies on Iran, Russia, and Venezuela to ease the financial squeeze on America's middle and working class.
"Just as bad, quid pro quo Joe is considering an idea to bribe the American people with gas cards provided by the IRS to qual Americans’ current pain at the pump. We don't need gas cards or blood-stained oil—we need Biden to get out of the way, allow America’s energy producers to fuel our nation, and ultimately re-establish the United States as energy independent and return our country to being a worldwide leader in net energy exports.”
