WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) released a statement congratulating Zuri Jackson, a third-grade student at Allen Park Elementary School in Lee County, who was named a winner of Governor Ron DeSantis’ Black History Month art contest.
“Black History Month serves as an opportunity for students to learn about the rich and diverse contributions African-Americans have made to the great State of Florida,” said Rep. Donalds. “I’m incredibly proud of Zuri for her hard work and using her artistic talent to showcase the multitude of ways African Americans have positively shaped our community.
