Last week, as the House of Representatives stood in legislative session, Democrats once again defended their attempt to indoctrinate students with radical teachings in American classrooms.
The Left's latest manipulation tactic involves enforcing their warped ideology of racial equity training upon the impressionable minds of America's young students. School districts across the country are adopting curriculums that introduce Critical Race Theory, implicit bias, and more progressive teachings. Students serve as a captive audience; young, impressionable, and eager to succeed, students have no choice but to review the selected materials and believe these radical teachings in order to avoid academic failure. Lessons that feature racial equity and prejudice do little to equip students with the necessary skills to develop, when in reality these types of teachings stoke division, distract from the overarching goal of academic success, and further polarize race relations in the United States.
The Left's performative empathy actually holds our students back, hinders, academic growth, and further divides our nation. I'm proud of my former colleagues in the Florida Legislature who passed legislation to ban these teachings in public classrooms across the state. It should go without saying that racial equity training has no place in math, reading, or any subject in K-12 grades. America's children deserve to grow, learn, and succeed without the implementation of a political agenda in their classroom materials. Rather than primarily center the American public school system on educating and empowering the next generation of students, the political left's defense of these inappropriate teachings proves that they are more concerned with building up future radicalized and indoctrinated voters.
