WASHINGTON––Today, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) sent the following letter to the Honorable Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of the United States Department of Homeland Security, calling on the Department to halt any effort to prioritize vaccinating illegal migrant populations over the American people.

"The Biden Administration has set a troubling standard as to who receives a COVID-19 vaccine. Recently, the United States Department of Defense backtracked an asinine plan to vaccinate Guantanamo Bay inmates, including the September 11th attacks' mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Now the Department of Homeland Security is planning to vaccinate illegal migrants. At the same time, millions of vulnerable Americans lie waiting for this vital vaccine, many of whom reside in my district. It is troubling to see the Biden Administration take these irresponsible stances when it comes to the allocation of the COVID-19 vaccine."
