Last week, the House of Representatives stood in session as Speaker Pelosi and top Democrats failed to push through the passage of their progressive agenda.
House Democrats tried last week to pass Biden's $1.9 trillion infrastructure package but ultimately failed to even bring the bill up for a vote. While Democrats go back and forth attempting to agree upon how much of an increase in our national debt is appropriate, we are wasting valuable time that could've been spent passing legislation, addressing the crisis on our southern border, or bringing relief to America's small business. The failed attempt to pass the so-called Infrastructure package was a waste of federal resources, time, and the hard-earned dollars of the American taxpayer. Meanwhile, Republicans are completely shut out of negotiations, leaving half of our nation's federally elected representatives in the dark. The disarray the nation experienced last week that even Joe Biden, the President of the United States and leader of the Democrat party, has no control over House Democrats.
President Biden's top military officials testified in front of Congress last week to provide Members and the American people with answers regarding our failed withdrawal in Afghanistan. However, their testimonies proved that there is dysfunction and disorder with our military under the command of President Biden. Under oath, both Generals Milley and McKenzie confirmed they advised Biden against the August withdrawal date - a statement clearly contrasting Biden's stance in which he claims no such advisement occurred. Making one of two things very clear: either the President of the United States lied to the American people, or our military's top leaders lied under oath. The lack of accountability in this administration hasn't just caused disarray and confusion, it's caused American soldiers to lose their lives. The families of our fallen soldiers deserve to know the truth and the American people deserve answers.
