Following a relaxing holiday break spent with family, I am entering the first week of Session in 2022 with a continued centralized focus: fighting for the values of Southwest Florida. As the Biden-Harris administration continues to impose its radical agenda upon the American people, I'm committed to serving, protecting, and fighting for the issues that matter most to you. - Securing our southern border
- Preserving America's history in schools without the radical indoctrination of CRT and DEI
- Prioritizing funding and resources to keep our waterways clean
- Standing up for medical freedom and against unconstitutional vaccine mandates
- Handing power back to the people and way from career government insiders
- Upholding your constitutional right to keep and bear arms
While these are only some of the issues that matter most to you and your families, I will work day in and day out to preserve our Constitutional Republic and the greatest nation known to man.
Last week, the December jobs report came out, and the data was dismal. Last month's job report was the worst of Joe Biden's presidency, with the U.S. economy adding 199,000 jobs, falling well below the expected 450,000 new jobs. Looking under the hood, labor force participation rates fell the hardest for Black men 20 and older, Black teenagers, Asian Americans, and Latino Americans. As the nation continues to face the COVID-19 pandemic, it is clear, Biden nor any politician can or will shut down the virus. We must live with COVID in a safe, responsible, and CONSTITUTIONAL manner. I will continue to stand up against vaccine and mask mandates, vaccine passports for domestic travel or leisure activities, and any other mandate denying people their ability to live their lives. In Florida, America's Governor, Ron DeSantis, is one of the few leaders in America with the winning formula when battling this virus. Since the availability of the COVID vaccine, our state has made available vaccines for all Floridians who CHOOSE to take the jab and, more importantly, access to lifesaving therapeutics like monoclonal antibodies. As COVID begins to surge, we must remember day-to-day common sense health practices like washing your hands, covering your coughs and sneezes, staying home if you're sick, and living healthy lives. Florida is the freedom state, which explains the record number of people moving to our area and that state as a whole—and visitors such as AOC and Swalwell.

Yesterday, January 9th, was National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. On this day, and every day, I am thankful to the LEO's of Southwest Florida and across the nation that valiantly protect our communities.
Let us also remember the LEO's we lost in the line of duty. National LEO Appreciation Day serves as a reminder that we must always Back The Blue.
