As most of us saw, data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) showed that prices climbed over 6.8% last week, the largest rise in over four decades. Republicans have been saying it for a while; Democrats and their reckless spending agenda continue to squeeze households and businesses across the nation. Whether it's at the grocery store or the pump, Americans are paying more for nearly everything, and yet Democrats STILL want to push their Build Back Broke Act through Congress. Inflation is a tax, simple as that. This year alone, energy prices are up 33%, food costs are up 6%, and clothing costs have increased 5%. 

As we face another surge of COVID-19, we also see a surge of radical mandates and government overreach. In New York, the governor announced the halting of elective surgery and another mask mandate for indoor facilities. Blue state governors and mayors should follow the DeSantis method to deal with the pandemic. Contrary to political hacks and pundits, America's Governor, Ron DeSantis, is the best in the nation when managing the pandemic. Mandates, shutdowns, and inconsistent messaging are proven mistakes in the fight against COVID. In Florida, we prioritize access to information and the freedom of individuals to control their lives and medical autonomy. The development of vaccines and therapeutics under the Trump administration in record time was a tremendous achievement for America, and we must ensure we support science, not political science.

Lastly, Erika and I join the nation in praying for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the surrounding areas in the south and mid-west. The devastation the people of this region are experiencing is heartbreaking, and everyone impacted needs our support and prayers.
