Last week, the House of Representatives stood in legislative session as Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats passed a $1.5 trillion spending bill.
Under one-party Democrat rule, our nation is experiencing historically bad economic hardships. This directly stems from Biden and the Democrats' radical and uncontrollable spending habits. As if the multi-trillion-dollar inFAKEstructure bill, COVID "relief" bills, and additional liberal spending packages weren't enough, the Democrats are spending even more of your money. Last week, Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats released their 2,700-page omnibus bill leaving members little to no time to review and debate this monstrosity. For Democrats to do this again proves they are not sincere legislators and focused solely on unleashing their socialist agenda on the American people. Despite Democrats recklessly passing this spending bill without any concern for rising inflation and the national debt, I proudly voted NO on this fiscally disastrous legislation.
Last week, inflation reached a new catastrophic record of 7.9% - a 40-year record high. The nation is experiencing rising costs across every sector of the American economy, and yet my Democrat colleagues continue to dismiss & deny the struggles of their constituents. While Americans cannot afford gas for their cars and small business owners lose sales, President Biden is now using Russian President Vladimir Putin as a scapegoat for his economic failures. For the President to deny his administration's role in the record-high inflation burdening the nation is a complete dereliction of duty.
Not only is this President ignoring the numerous crises our nation is facing here at home, but he is determined to destroy American energy independence. President Biden killing the Keystone XL Pipeline and burdening our energy industry with Green New Deal regulations and blockades forced thousands out of work, raised domestic energy costs, and all but gutted our energy sector. Amidst Russia's unprovoked military invasion of Ukraine, President Biden should prioritize revitalizing the American oil & gas industry. Instead, Biden is now courting socialist dictators to purchase oil. As a nation, we should never be heavily reliant on the corrupt regimes of our adversaries for oil. The United States does not need the blood-stained oil of dictators and tyrants—we need American oil.
