This past week, Congress stood in Session as House Democrats passed the most expensive and government-expanding spending package in history.
With the holiday fast approaching, we can expect this Thanksgiving to be the most expensive in the history of the holiday. Last week, Democrats on the House floor cheered after passing Joe Biden's Build Back Better Act. Despite lies from the White House and top Democrats that this legislation would cost $0, this abomination of legislation will add over $367 billion to our nation's deficit over the next decade. If passed in the Senate, this legislation will drastically increase the already record-high inflation on America's middle class.
This past week, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) halted the enforcement of Joe Biden's unconstitutional vaccine mandate. Due to a decision brought down by the Fifth Circuit Court, thankfully Joe Biden's game of "catch me if you can" quickly ended. No American should be fired for exercising their right to medical freedom. This serves as a victory for America's businesses, our constitution, and ultimately the American people.
The situation at the Southern Borders continues to worsen as the administration considers paying illegal immigrants up to $1 million per family for those affected by family separations at the border. This is not only a slap in the face to every immigrant who came into this country legally but for the thousands of hard-working Americans who would appreciate even $5,000 from their government yet alone $1 million.
To end on a high note, I want to wish all of my constituents a Happy Thanksgiving! Every day, I am honored & thankful to have the privilege of serving the people of Southwest Florida.

Last week, I voted NO on Biden’s plan to expand the social welfare system in America. I grew up poor in a single-parent household. I am not ignorant of our poor and working-class’ needs, nor am I naive to the devastating result of this massive tax and spending bill.

Last week, I introduced a resolution to the House of Representatives, a bill that recognizes law enforcement officers who have tragically passed away from the COVID-19 pandemic.

This past week in Naples, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a $960 million budget proposal for Everglades restoration. Also in this budget proposal is over $550 million to continue Gov. DeSantis’ efforts to equip communities to manage storm preparation, sea-level rise, and coastal flooding.
