This past week, Congress remained in session again as Democrats continued to shove their reckless socialist spending package through the House. Joe Biden's "Bipartisan" InFAKEstructure Framework and Budget Reconciliation package still has not received a proper markup from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Not only that, but the Democrats continued to introduce last-minute amendments to push through every initiative on their radical agenda. Late Friday night, Democrats called a vote and passed their Infrastructure plan - despite no score from the CBO. This plan is estimated to cost taxpayers over a trillion dollars, and we still don't know the overall economic impact this legislation will have on the American people. The American people deserve the total transparency and honesty of the United States government, not shady backroom deals by politicians who have zero concern about our financial stability and recklessly spending your tax dollars.
Lastly, voters in Virginia made it clear parents should have the power to make the best decision for their child and their education. Let this election show that parental involvement and school choice are a priority of parents across America. The government should never determine a child's future. That's why I've been a long proponent of expanding education options to more than just a school system based on ZIP codes. Every child deserves access to a world-class education. I want to join my Republican colleagues in congratulating Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin, Lt. Governor-elect Winsome Sears, and Attorney General-elect Jason Miyares.
This past week was non-stop on Capitol Hill. For major legislation announcements, must-see media interviews, and where I stand on some of the most pressing issues arising out of Washington - keep reading!

After weeks of the Democrat Party standing in disarray, unable to unify their party, Nancy Pelosi finally called a vote on the trillion dollar Infrastructure plan last week in the middle of the night. This late night vote, while millions of Americans are sleeping, isn't legislating - it's the swamp at work.
I voted NO on the Democrats’ inFAKEstructure bill that will increase our debt and only dedicate less than 25% of the massive 1.75 TRILLION to America’s real infrastructure needs. As witnessed last Tuesday, Democrat policies aren’t popular, especially in my district.

I’m happy to have participated in the Congressional Football Game this past week.
The bipartisan event, Members of Congress played against the Capitol Police, raised over $600,000 for the Capitol Police Memorial Fund, Our Military Kids. and A Advantage 4 Kids. While the Members did lose the game, it represented a great night of bipartisanship and friendly competition.

Progressive Democrats like Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) are so desperate to fund their socialist spending spree, they’re now proposing taxing wealth that doesn’t technically exist.
Last week, I introduced legislation prohibiting the federal government from taxing unrealized capital gains. My full statement on this legislation is below.

Any proposed plan to scrap funding to HBCUs in favor of progressive wishlists like a $200 million Pelosi Park, free healthcare and college for illegal immigrants, and billions to monitor Americans’ bank accounts is a slap in the face to the Black community.
This past week, I sent a letter to President Biden regarding the funding of HBCUs in America. Thank you to my colleague Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) for supporting my letter. See the full letter below:

Last week, alongside several of my Florida congressional colleagues, I sent a letter to the President of the United States requesting information on the tax dollars spent secretly resettling illegal immigrants in Florida and the specific districts they are being sent to.
For the safety of our constituents and our state, we demand answers. Read my full statement below, also click below to see the full letter:

This past week, I had the opportunity to join House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for a roundtable discussion on the 'Made in America Tax'. I made it clear, any additional burden to businesses across the country, especially from a tax perspective, is going to make it significantly harder for them to just manage their operations. Last week, I had the chance to join Sebastian Gorka on his Newsmax show 'The Gorka Reality Check' for a breakdown on the Democrats' loss in Virginia, Critical Race Theory, and more.

Last week, I had the pleasure of joining Rep. Jay Obernolte (R-CA) to call upon Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) to postpone a vote on this disastrous package until the Congressional Budget Office has completed a full analysis of the bill.
The American people deserve to know how economically damaging the Dems socialist spending spree really is. Listen to my statement below:
