NAPLES, Fla. - Today, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) issued the following statement in celebration of Thanksgiving Day.
“From our family to yours, Erika and I want to wish everyone a blessed, safe, and joyous Thanksgiving Day to all those celebrating. As your member of congress, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve Florida’s 19th Congressional District on Capitol Hill and fight for a better life for you and your families. Every day, especially on Thanksgiving, let us remember all those who keep us safe and protect our nation and communities. As we gather, let us not forget our brave men and women in the Armed Forces, first responders, and healthcare workers who devote their lives to serving others.
“Also, let us join hands in prayer for all those impacted by COVID-19, the brave heroes killed in Afghanistan, and most recently the victims of the Waukesha attack. May we also pray for those struggling with poor health, economic struggles, and the less fortunate. Finally, in the spirit of thankfulness, I am thankful to be an American. I am also grateful for my family and loved ones, and for being able to call Florida home, where freedom is flourishing, and the forecast is 80 degrees and sunny!
